Pearl Jam’s Near-Death Scare: Band Prioritizes Health After Health Scare

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder reveals the band recently had a health scare that affected several members, prompting them to prioritize their well-being.

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder recently revealed that the band had a “near-death” health scare that affected several members of the group.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Vedder shared that the band was hit with an unnamed illness that caused discomfort and fear among the members. He did not specify when the health scare occurred or which members were affected.

“It was a very uncomfortable and frightening experience for us,” Vedder said. “We were all taken aback by the severity of the illness and it definitely had us worried.”

The singer also mentioned that the illness was a wake-up call for the band to prioritize their health and well-being. “It made us realize that we need to take care of ourselves and each other, especially when we’re on the road and constantly performing,” he added.

Pearl Jam has been known for their high-energy live performances and rigorous touring schedule, which can take a toll on the band members’ health. However, Vedder assured fans that they are doing everything they can to stay healthy and continue making music.

“We’re grateful to have each other and to be able to do what we love, but we also have to be mindful of our health and not take it for granted,” he said.

The band recently released their 11th studio album, “Gigaton,” and is set to embark on a European tour in June 2022. Vedder expressed his excitement for the upcoming tour and assured fans that they will be in top shape for the shows.

“We can’t wait to get back on stage and perform for our fans again,” he said. “We’ll make sure to take care of ourselves and give it our all, as always.”

Pearl Jam formed in Seattle in 1990 and has become one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. They have sold over 85 million records worldwide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite the health scare, the band continues to thrive and shows no signs of slowing down.
