Seán Finn and the Late Bloomers is a quirky indie band combining folk, jazz, and some yacht rock vibes, and they will present their first-ever single, “A Thousand Guesses,” on May 17th, 2024. Leading with the pin-sharp Suave, the band has become a regular fixture in the London music scene.
With their endearing if peculiar stagecraft and their vivid, zonked sound, they stuck into the minds of audiences across the capital. With a wealth of engaging energy and surprise, the band has managed to woo audiences at some of the very best venues in London, like Spice of Life in Soho and Signature Brew in Haggerston.
“A Thousand Guesses” is a bouncy full of love tune with a lovable chord progression, deep harmonies, and slapped groove that could lift anyone’s mood. The artist recounted a little bit in regards to the recording process when he said, “I thought this was one of those songs that was a bit simple at first blush but was something that actually works really well in a live band context. The chords are basic, there’s room in the melodies to really get the hooks into, and there’s a lot of space to work with. We recorded it in a real old-school way. The rhythm track was one continuous take.”. Of their debut project, he said, “It’s like what they did in the 60s, except that we’re doing it on a budget.”
If a release of their debut project, “Late Bloomer,” on a rolling basis throughout summer were not enough, the international dates that lay on the horizon leave much to be anticipated as Seán Finn and the Late Bloomers aim for sublimity in 2024. Easy Now’s distinctive genre blend, with a great live performance, is 2024’s one band to keep an eye on.
