New York-based pop innovator Kyle Waves invites listeners on a pulsating journey through the highs and lows of modern romance with his latest EP, Signals, released on July 25, 2025. Signals opens with two previously released fan favorites: “I Feel Too Much For You”, a shimmering pop anthem about falling for someone you shouldn’t, and “Thinking Bout It”, which captures the nervous exhilaration of a new connection. These tracks set the tone for a project rooted in emotional honesty yet elevated by club-ready grooves. “My new EP is all about the different dynamics in relationships,” Waves explains. “From the sweet moments of love at first sight to the toxic circumstances that sometimes arise, I wanted to encapsulate the full range of my personal journey.”
As the project unfolds, listeners move through the sultry intensity of “Make It Right”, produced by Kody Pailin (PAILIN), before hitting the raw vulnerability of “Broken Soul”, which interrogates the wreckage of heartbreak over hypnotic beats. The closer, “In My Heart”, lingers on the longing for clarity when communication falters, perfectly tying together the EP’s central metaphor: the search for signals in love’s vast and unpredictable terrain. “Each song is a different frequency you can tune into,” says Waves. “Some people seek tenderness, others need an outlet for anger or hurt. Mixed and mastered by Kai Tsao (21 Savage, Kid Cudi) at KLND Audio, the EP cements Kyle Waves’ evolution from the introspective tones of his previous project Fragments to a bolder, choreography-driven sound that merges glossy pop with house-inspired textures.
