British pop star Dua Lipa has announced the cancellation of her highly anticipated concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, citing safety concerns over the stage setup. The singer took to social media to express her disappointment and apologize to her fans in the country.

In a post on her Instagram account, Lipa wrote, “I am heartbroken to announce that I will not be able to perform in Jakarta this weekend. I have been looking forward to this show for months and was excited to finally be here in your amazing country. However, after careful consideration and consultation with my team, we have come to the decision that the stage setup is not safe for me to perform on.”

The 25-year-old singer was scheduled to perform at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Jakarta on Saturday, March 27th. The concert was part of her “Future Nostalgia” tour, which has been postponed multiple times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Lipa’s decision to cancel the show was met with disappointment and understanding from her fans in Indonesia. Many took to social media to express their support for the singer and their disappointment over not being able to see her perform live.

The organizers of the concert also released a statement, apologizing to fans and assuring them that all ticket holders will receive a full refund. They also stated that they are working with Lipa’s team to reschedule the concert for a later date.

This is not the first time Lipa has faced challenges with her “Future Nostalgia” tour. The singer had to cancel shows in Australia and New Zealand last year due to the pandemic. She also had to postpone her European tour dates twice before finally being able to kick off the tour in January 2021.

Despite the setbacks, Lipa remains determined to bring her energetic and electrifying performances to her fans around the world. She ended her post by saying, “I promise I will do everything in my power to come back and perform for you all as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding and support. I love you all.”
