After four years of serving up drinks and live music, FGL House, the Nashville bar owned by country duo Florida Georgia Line, has officially closed its doors. The news was announced on the bar’s Instagram page, with a post thanking fans for their support and memories made at the establishment.
FGL House opened in 2017, boasting three levels of entertainment including a rooftop bar, a basement lounge, and a main floor with a stage for live performances. The bar quickly became a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, with its modern country decor and signature Fireball shots.
However, the closure of FGL House does not mean the end of a country music presence in that location. In fact, rising country artist Lainey Wilson will be taking over the space with her own branded bar. Wilson, who has toured with Florida Georgia Line in the past, shared the news on her Instagram, expressing her excitement for this new venture.
The new bar, set to open in the fall, will feature a similar layout to FGL House but with a unique twist that reflects Wilson’s personal style. The singer-songwriter, known for her hit songs “Things a Man Oughta Know” and “Dirty Looks,” promises to bring a fresh and authentic country experience to the Nashville bar scene.
Fans of FGL House need not worry, as the closure is not a result of financial struggles or the ongoing pandemic. In fact, Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have been busy with other business ventures, including their own whiskey brand and a new record label. The duo also recently announced their upcoming fifth studio album, “Life Rolls On,” set to be released in February 2021.
As for FGL House, it may be the end of an era, but the legacy of good times and country music will live on through Lainey Wilson’s new bar. Fans can look forward to a grand opening celebration and more details about the new establishment in the coming months. In the meantime, let’s raise a glass to FGL House and all the memories made within its walls. Cheers!
