The nominations for the 2021 CMT Music Awards have been announced, with a diverse group of artists earning nods in multiple categories. This year’s awards show will also mark the first nomination for Tyler Childers.
Jelly Roll, known for his blend of country, rock, and hip-hop, received nominations for Video of the Year, Collaborative Video of the Year, and CMT Performance of the Year for his song “Same A**hole.” He also earned a nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year for his collaboration with Lil Wyte on “Demons.”
Lainey Wilson, who has been making waves in the country music scene with her powerful vocals and relatable lyrics, earned nominations for Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year for her hit single “Things a Man Oughta Know.” She also received a nomination for CMT Performance of the Year for her performance of “Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin'” on the CMT Music Awards.
