Ireland’s rising alt-rock disruptor signals her reign with a double-track release packed with grunge grit and emotional fire
DUBLIN, IRELAND – With six blistering singles already to her name and a debut album on the horizon for late 2025, Queen Bitch is sharpening her crown with the release of Even If I Pray, a searing new alt-rock anthem backed by the unflinching B-side A Popular Song. Officially out May 29th, the release solidifies Queen Bitch’s ascent from Dublin’s underground live circuit to a formidable force in Ireland’s alternative scene.
Produced at Beardfire Studios and mastered by Romesh Dodangoda, both tracks were written and performed by Róisín Bohan, the powerhouse behind the Queen Bitch moniker. Engineered with the help of David Virgin, Rohan Healy, Al Quiff, and Petri Visser, the songs erupt with thunderous instrumentation and raw emotional honesty—pulling listeners deep into the heart of transformation, resistance, and survival.
A-side ‘Even If I Pray’ is a cathartic dive into letting go, bruised by grief but glinting with hope. Drenched in distortion and blistered emotion, the song swells from confessional verses into a scorching guitar solo that cuts through the chaos like a beam of resilience. B-side ‘A Popular Song’ goes even deeper, snarling against societal expectation with grunge-soaked vocals and crashing guitars. It’s a declaration of self-liberation that both nods to and surpasses its ‘90s influences—equal parts therapy and battle cry.
Already championed by Hot Press, RTÉ 2FM, The Last Mixed Tape, and Idobi Radio, Queen Bitch has stormed stages across Fibber Magees, The Sound House, and Workmans, carving a reputation for explosive performances and uncompromising authenticity. The next chance to witness her live is June 21st at The Crowbar Terrace, with early bird tickets available now.
As media buzz builds and momentum charges forward, Even If I Pray marks more than just another release—it’s a declaration: Queen Bitch is no longer emerging. She’s arriving.
