In an interview with Rolling Stone, Rodrigo shared that while she was at the hospital, she met a nurse who reminded her of her late grandfather. She said, “I was in the hospital and I met this nurse who was so kind and caring. She reminded me so much of my grandpa who passed away a few years ago. It was such a comforting feeling to have someone like her taking care of me.”

Rodrigo also shared that her grandfather was a huge inspiration for her music and that she often thinks of him when she performs. She said, “My grandpa was a huge music lover and he always encouraged me to pursue my passion for music. Whenever I’m on stage, I feel like he’s watching over me and cheering me on.”
