Mahuna Announces New Album Forever

Belfast-born, Berlin-based songwriter Mahuna is back with Forever Is Mine, his most ambitious project to date—a sweeping, impressionistic collection shaped by decades of personal evolution and sonic exploration. The ten-track debut long-player, releasing May 30, 2025, captures Mahuna’s journey through memory and place, and will be available across all streaming platforms and in a special edition vinyl format.

Leading the album’s release is the single “Shimmering Light,” out April 18. Inspired by early morning stillness around Kinsale Bay, the song’s textured guitar work and emotional resonance offer a luminous glimpse into Mahuna’s deep connection to family and nature. Recorded live, like the rest of the album, it preserves an honesty and immediacy that runs through the entire record.

“This album is a series of lived moments,” Mahuna explains. “Each track is a map pin dropped into my past—whether in Berlin, Kerry, or Paris.” The result is an evocative sonic journey that traces a quarter-century of experiences, reflections, and transformations.

Critics have already celebrated Mahuna’s previous work. The Other Side described “Dream Winter’s Day” as “a rich, haunting sonic journey,” while Illustrate Magazine praised “Underneath a Hazel Tree” for its “relaxing, warm, soothing acoustic melody” and Mahuna’s “deep, husky, and weathered vocals.” Lost in the Manor lauded his lyrical prowess, calling his delivery “consistently brilliant.”

The album’s tracklist reads like chapters in a memoir, with highlights including the spectral “Far-Off Summer’s Night,” the Parisian-tinged “Paris Dawn,” and the reflective title track “Forever Is Mine.” Closing with the haunting “They Won’t Be Coming Home,” Mahuna’s album is a meditation on journeys taken, ghosts embraced, and the small epiphanies found in everyday life.

“Shimmering Light” is available on all platforms from April 18, 2025. Forever Is Mine follows on May 30, 2025, promising to be a deeply personal and resonant addition to Mahuna’s growing body of work.
