Country singer Morgan Wallen has finally received his first-ever Grammy nominations, after being snubbed in previous years. The 28-year-old artist has been recognized in two categories for the upcoming 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
Wallen’s hit song “I Had Some Help” has been nominated for Best Country Song, while his collaboration with Post Malone on the same track has earned him a nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. This marks a major milestone in Wallen’s career, as he has been steadily rising in the country music scene since his debut in 2016.
The Tennessee native has been making waves in the industry with his unique blend of country and rock music, and his raw and authentic lyrics. His debut album “If I Know Me” was a commercial success, with hits like “Whiskey Glasses” and “Chasin’ You” topping the charts.
Despite his success, Wallen has faced some controversy in the past year. In February 2021, he was caught on camera using a racial slur, which resulted in his music being pulled from radio stations and his record label suspending his contract. However, his fans stood by him and his album “Dangerous: The Double Album” still managed to break records and top the charts.
Wallen’s Grammy nominations come as a surprise to many, as he was not included in the list of nominees for the Country Music Association Awards earlier this year. However, his talent and impact on the country music scene cannot be denied, and his nominations are well-deserved.
The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31, 2022, and will be broadcasted live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Wallen will be competing against other talented artists in his categories, including Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, and Brothers Osborne.
Congratulations to Morgan Wallen on his first-ever Grammy nominations. We look forward to seeing him perform and potentially take home the coveted award.
